THE FRONT STEP

Giving a new look to the front step has been a very easy process.

I just bought some buxes and planted them in nice zinc and stoneware pots to great the visitors and give them an invitation to enter my home.

I couldn't help buying the Pierre de Ronsard rosebush again. I buy at least one of it for every home I move in.

If I have a nice spot available in the garden, I buy 4 of 5 of them and plant them in line to get a gorgeous bush of climbing and remontant roses. They have gracious and scented flowers which inspired generations of rose gardeners.

So I bought one of these Pierre de Ronsard rosebushes to plant it by my home front step. I simply hung a decorative pannel made in acacia to allow the rose stems to find their way up on the wall.

The last little touch was to set a wreath made with chestnut branches.

Oh I almost forgot: I obviously bought a new doormat with the word "HOME" obviously! As all French, we like to have it in English...

With only simple little plants, very little work and money investments, I dare thinking I gave to my home front step a whole new happy and welcoming nature.

How much do you like it?
