The Great Room

 

 

As you know, I moved in this new home only one year ago. We had well in mind that much work was to do in this home that had not got improvements since it was built 30 years previously.

Once we moved in, we had to make choices.. serious choices. The only bathroom of the house was to be refreshed and get a touch of contemporary decorating. The kitchen had to be completely rethought and rebuilt. It took much time and much financial investment.

As for the great room, it actually looked the easiest part of the challenge. I made my mind to postpone any new change in this room and I kept it the way it was when I moved in, only re-painting the brown windows and doors with white gloss paint, and covering the floor with a new wooden floor.

Time has come for the changes in the great room: within the next few weeks, I'm eventually about to repaint the walls and to add (at last) some nice curtains by the windows....
